October 22nd, you could read that Nokia sued Apple, claiming Apple was infringing 10 patents owned by Nokia, including GSM, UMTS and WLAN standards. Yesterday Apple responded with a countersuit claiming that Nokia is infringing 13 Apple patents.
Apple’s General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Bruce Sewell commented in a public announcement: “Other companies must compete with us by inventing their own technologies, not just by stealing ours”

er General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Intel, Bruce Sewell, will replace the retiring Daniel Cooperman which had a similar role at Apple alongside with Legal and Government Affairs. In the position as General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Legal and Government Affairs, Bruce Sewel will report directly to Steve Jobs, and Steve Jobs is excited about Bruce Sewel’s arrival.
Bruce Sewell’s departure from Intel was announced yesterday and was a part of organizational changes. Bruce Sewell is 50 years old and joined Intel in 1995 s a senior attorney and was promoted to vice president and deputy general counsel in 2001.
